Loki was sponsored by Ann Lynde of Dallas, Oregon. Ann has two beloved ferrets of her own, Princess and Samie. Loki was thought to be 2.5 years old when he arrived in 2001. He had been in two homes before he came to CFN, his most recent owners decided to find him a new home when the kids in the family lost interest in him and were not giving him enough attention (a depressingly common situation). He was pretty scruffy looking then because he needed adrenal surgery. When he had surgery we found that he also had severe Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He was put on a medication that suppresses his immune system which he will probably be on for the rest of his life. He is doing really well and has been in a foster home until a few months ago when he and his cagemate, Zima, returned to live at the shelter. It is good to have the pair back since they are thoroughly delightful to have around and are great for taking out to public events.
